Dr. Anthony O. Parker, the longtime president of Albany Technical College, passed away in the early hours of Monday, June 6th 2022, a release from the institution shares.
Dr. Parker was also the Technical College System of Georgia’s longest-serving president, having assumed the role at Albany in 1995.
“The passing of Dr. Anthony Parker is not only a tremendous loss for Albany Technical College but also a loss for the entire Albany community and the Technical College System of Georgia,” the release reads. “Dr. Parker was a stalwart in the community and worked tirelessly to do everything he could for the betterment of Albany and the region.”
Our hearts are with the family, friends and thousands of Southwest Georgians whose lives were bettered through the years by Dr. Parker.
