NBA Semifinals: Knicks beat Celtics in OT; Nuggets beat Thunder in Game 1

The New York Knicks took the win in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals, after defeating the Boston Celtics 108-105 in overtime on Monday night at TD Garden.

Boston held the lead into the third quarter, but the Knicks came back to erase a 20-point third-quarter deficit behind Jalen Brunson and OG Anunoby (who each scored 29 points) with a strong effort from Mikal Bridges on defensive to hold the Celtics to 25.0 percent on 15-for-60 shooting from 3-point range.

Game 2 is set for Wednesday night at TD Garden.

The Denver Nuggets beat the Oklahoma City Thunder 121-119 in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals on Monday night.

Nikola Jokić led with 42 points and 22 rebounds, with Aaron Gordon scoring the game-winner to come back from behind to defeat the top-seeded Thunder. Gordon finished with 22 points on 7-for-15 shooting and 14 rebounds (seven offensive) in 39 minutes in the win.

Game 2 of the Nuggets-Thunder series is 9:30 p.m. ET Wednesday in Oklahoma City.
